The Response Card NXT  clicker by Turning Technologies will be used in class this semester. It's the same clicker that you'll use in many other courses at UNCC. It's the standard for our campus.

You will need to have your own clicker. You may not share a clicker with someone in the same class or with someone in my other classes. Your points will be impossible to retrieve.

Register your clicker in Moodle. You'll be prompted to register when you log onto my Moodle page. Your clicker must be registered to you and you alone. We'll have short-answer and multiple-choice questions in class that will be graded. You'll need your clicker to respond to the questions. You will need the clicker on day one!

The clickers are available at both UNCC bookstore and Gray's. I cannot find one online at a discounted price at this point. There are similar cards, but they're not the same and they won't work. It's so new that I can't find them on eBay or Amazon.

Miner Books and the UNCC bookstore have these clickers as rentals. These might be great for visiting students, but regular 49ers might as well bite the bullet and get the right one now because you're going to get a lot of use out of it in future classes.There should also be a $10 rebate coupon in the box at any of the bookstores.

If you purchase a clicker somewhere besides the UNCC bookstore or Gray's, make sure you get the right one. Be sure you search for this exact product name: Response Card NXT clicker by Turning Technologies. There are a couple of older models. Make sure you don't get one of those. Yours should look exactly like the picture at the top of this page. The bookstores will give you the right one.

The ISBN that I've been given for the clicker is 9781934931455.

Most of the clickers I could find on Amazon or eBay were older models that won't work. I did find 4 on eBay but they were selling for about the same price as the ones at the bookstores. The bookstores will take back a defective clicker. I'm sure you'd be stuck with it if you buy it on eBay. Please save yourself a headache and get yours at one of the local bookstores.
